Supporter Spotlight: Phillips Printing Company

SUPPORTER SPOTLIGHT – Interview with Shealia Hearn, Owner of Phillips Printing Company

How did you first get involved in with the Mission?

My first exposure to Nashville Rescue Mission was as a vendor. We own a printing/mailing company and were pursuing their business. I have been impressed with how organized the living conditions are and the programs they have in place to train people to contribute to society.

What motivated or prompted your first gift?

I can see how much the Mission brings to the lives of people they serve. They introduce them to God and the value of living a life committed to God, but they teach them skills so they can make a living. The discipline and structure they demand of anyone in their Life Recovery Program is life changing.

“The Mission teaches people to stand on their own while giving them a loving and supportive place to live while learning these skills.”

What do you think is the most important thing the Mission does?

The Mission teaches people to stand on their own while giving them a loving and supportive place to live while learning these skills. They demand discipline from those in their Program, and that is needed to be employable and contribute to society.

What would you tell someone who is thinking about donating, volunteering, etc. to Nashville Rescue Mission?

If someone is thinking about supporting, donating, or volunteering at the Mission, it will be a very positive and fulfilling experience. The Mission is very responsible with the contributions they receive and use them to benefit the people they serve. You will be touched by the people you meet when serving. Most of them are so thankful to have their lives improved and often saved by their experience.

Shealia Hearn with Phillips Printing makes sure the Mission’s newsletter reaches your mailbox. The Mission is so thankful for the support of Phillips Printing!
