We have truly missed you serving with us here at Nashville Rescue Mission. Thank you for being so patient with us as we temporarily paused volunteering during January. We have made the decision to resume volunteer experiences at the Mission’s Campus.
If you are not feeling well, have any cold or flu-like symptoms, or have had a positive COVID test within the past ten days leading up to your volunteering, please stay home and notify us at 615-312-1534 or send an email to email@example.com.
*WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW CAMPUS FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN UNDERWAY, WE HAVE TEMPORARILY CONSOLIDATED OUR TWO CAMPUSES UNDER ONE ROOF AT 639 LAFAYETTE STREET. DURING THIS TIME, ALL VOLUNTEER SHIFTS WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE MAIN CAMPUS.*
At Nashville Rescue Mission, we partner with thousands of volunteers each year to touch lives for today and for eternity.
Join the Mission’s team of volunteers and show compassion, love, and kindness to our neighbors in need.
Our minimum volunteer age is 10 years old, and volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
With the temporary merger of our two campuses under one roof, all those who desire to volunteer at Nashville Rescue Mission must undergo a background check (through Sterling Volunteers) BEFORE they can serve.
*Please note: you will not be able to sign-up through Volunteer Hub or volunteer on campus without an approved background check.*
If you have not yet completed a background check, please follow these instructions:
1. Sign in to your Volunteer Hub account.
2. Click on the arrow by your name in the top right corner.
3. Click “Manage Affiliations.”
4. Select “I am over the age of 18” and click “Save.”
5. From here, you will see a large red button that says, “Initiate Background Check.”
Nashville Rescue Mission does NOT participate in community service programs that are court-ordered, or mandatory on the basis of receiving public housing, and/or food assistance benefits.
