Nashville Rescue Mission Welcomes Stephanie Sewell as President & CEO
Following a comprehensive national search, the Board of Directors has selected Stephanie Sewell to lead Nashville Rescue Mission into its next chapter of Christ-centered service and impact.

The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephanie Sewell as the next President & Chief Executive Officer of Nashville Rescue Mission.
Following a comprehensive and prayerful national search conducted in partnership with CarterBaldwin, Stephanie was unanimously selected to lead the Mission into its next season of ministry and service.
Stephanie brings more than two decades of executive leadership experience across nonprofit, ministry, humanitarian, education, and community-serving organizations, including leadership roles at Bay Area Rescue Mission and as Chief Executive Officer of New Zealand's largest education-focused nonprofit organization.
Most importantly, Stephanie brings a deep commitment to Christ-centered ministry, a passion for serving vulnerable individuals and families, and a heart for building strong relationships throughout the Nashville community.

Since becoming President & CEO in 2012, Glenn has helped strengthen the Mission's programs, expand community partnerships, deepen donor engagement, grow organizational capacity, and advance life-changing ministry across Middle Tennessee.
His leadership has positioned Nashville Rescue Mission to enter this transition from a place of strength, stability, and opportunity.

Stephanie has been married to her husband, Mark, for more than 25 years and they have three adult daughters. Faith, family, and service have been central influences throughout her life and leadership journey.

Why was Stephanie selected?
Following a comprehensive national search, the Board unanimously selected Stephanie based on her leadership experience, alignment with Nashville Rescue Mission's mission and values, rescue mission experience, and demonstrated passion for serving vulnerable individuals and families.
How was the search conducted?
The Board partnered with executive search firm, CarterBaldwin to conduct a nationwide search. The process included candidate recruitment, multiple rounds of interviews, extensive reference and background checks, and significant prayer and discernment by the Search Committee and Board.
When does the transition occur?
Glenn Cranfield will retire on July 31, 2026. Stephanie Sewell will begin serving as President & CEO on August 3, 2026.
