Summers in Nashville can be brutal. If you’ve lived here for any length of time, you’ve probably heard “it’s not the heat, it’s the humidity.” Regardless, some days it can be unbearable.
Just imagine if you’re homeless and living on the streets or under an overpass, like Matthew who is featured in our cover story this month. There are few places to go. It’s hard to find any relief from the heat.
"Thank you for going the extra mile in these difficult times to support the hungry and the homeless."
For over 57 years, faithful friends like you have helped provide the homeless men, women and children with a safe, cool place to escape the heat— the Nashville Rescue Mission. Here they receive food, clothing, shelter and certainly a cold drink of water. They also receive the opportunity to change their life should they choose to enter our life-recovery program, like Matthew did.
Thanks to the faithful support of friends like you, we are serving and reaching out to the hurting and homeless. Lives are being transformed. You are making a difference. Thank you for your support!
