How did Huskey first get involved with the Mission?
Since 1945, Huskey Truss & Building Supply has operated on a foundation of Christian principles and professional expertise. When it comes to supporting an organization in the community, we look at those who share our same values and desire to help those in need. Nashville Rescue Mission is one such organization. We started supporting the Mission back in 2007, and have continued to offer our support through financial gifts and sponsorship of various events.

Why does Huskey continue to support the Mission?
We are passionate to serve the Lord Jesus and our customers each day. We strive to show love, joy, peace, strength, compassion, humility, and honesty in everything we do. This is something we see Nashville Rescue Mission doing as well. It’s a blessing to come alongside an organization who shares the same values as we do.

Is there a specific aspect of the Mission’s work that attracted your support?
After learning more about the Mission, including the breadth and depth of services they provide to men, women, and children, we felt compelled to get more involved. Over the last several years, as our business has grown, so has our ability to offer support to the Mission. Recently we were able to help the Mission, specifically the Women’s Campus, by donating and building a storage shed.

What led to your decision to support the Mission financially?
In our business, our goal is to help people. We try to do things we know Christ would do and wants us to do on His behalf. In the Bible, it talks about tithing, but also about how you can do more. Our supporting the Mission is just one way we are trying to do more.
