HCA Healthcare has partnered with Nashville Rescue Mission for more than 20 years. During this longstanding relationship, HCA donated over $550,000 to support the work of the Mission. In addition, they’ve provided thousands of volunteer hours through the various individuals and groups the company has brought to the Mission. Whether it’s serving in the kitchen or working in the warehouse or assisting with the Mission’s workplace readiness program, helping with resume writing and interview preparation, HCA has made an incredible difference at the Mission.
Additionally, several HCA’s employees are or have been on the Mission’s board, playing a vital role in advancing the Mission’s efforts to provide hope for today, hope for tomorrow, and hope for eternity to the hungry, homeless, and hurting in our community.
Recently, HCA Healthcare and the HCA Healthcare Foundation announced a $1 million donation to the Mission to assist in helping build a brand-new campus for women and children.
“At HCA Healthcare, we believe that there are many ways to champion health. Nashville Rescue Mission is an important institution in our community, and we’re honored to be a part of its new campus for women and children. Providing for those without basic needs, such as food, shelter and emotional support, is vital in promoting healthier communities that lead to healthier tomorrows,” said Sam Hazen, CEO of HCA Healthcare.
“Nashville Rescue Mission is so thankful for the longstanding relationship we’ve had with HCA Healthcare and the HCA Healthcare Foundation for more than 20 years,” said Glenn Cranfield, president and CEO of Nashville Rescue Mission. “As one of the most significant contributors to building this new campus, their support is foundational to the Mission’s efforts to bring help and hope to women and children in our community who are battling addiction or struggling with homelessness and hunger. This incredible gift of generosity has profoundly moved us and will make a life-changing difference in the lives of so many.”
The culture of HCA Healthcare encourages an awareness of and engagement with the community beyond the walls of any particular facility. The Mission is honored to be one of many organizations that partner with HCA. We appreciate their efforts to prioritize grant funding and support organizations like ours that provide shelter, food, and other living essentials.
