Country Stars, Local Media and Volunteers Make Thanksgiving Great
Thanksgiving is a special time for the Nashville Rescue Mission. While we attempt to show thanks year round, Thanksgiving allows us to publicly proclaim our gratitude to the Nashville community, our volunteers, our donors, and of course, our God. We are so thankful that together we can make a difference in so many lives.
This year, Tracy Lawrence once again hosted his 4th Annual Mission Possible Turkey Fry to raise money, generate awareness and provide food for Nashville’s homeless. Tracy brought along a few of his friends to help fry over 400 turkeys in preparation for the Great Thanksgiving Banquet. Celebrity turkey fryers included Brad Arnold from the band 3 Doors Down, Ash Bowers, Burns & Poe, Lorrie Morgan, Sam Hayes, Trent Tomlinson and Darryl Worley. Also on hand were several Titans Cheerleaders.
The Mission was also blessed to have the following dignitaries and local media on hand to serve Thanksgiving meals: Mayor Karl Dean, Scott Arnold, Nick Beres, Chris Cannon, Tuwanda Coleman, Rhori Johnston, Demetria Kalodimos, Jennifer Kraus, Bob Mueller, Kristin Priesol, Lisa Spencer, Lelan Statom, Dan Thomas and Phil Valentine.
The Nashville Rescue Mission relies entirely on the generosity and support of its volunteers and donors. Because of you, over 5,000 Thanksgiving meals were provided to the poor and hungry of our community. Your faithful support throughout the year ensures the Mission is able to continuously provide life-changing services to an ever-increasing homeless population of men, women and children in the Nashville area.
It’s neighbors helping neighbors.
We couldn’t do it without you.
