What Easter Means to Me
People celebrate Easter in many different ways. For some people it’s a day filled with baskets, bunnies, eggs and new shoes. Others observe Lent (40 days before Easter), by fasting or giving up certain luxuries as a form of penitence leading up to Easter. For many who come to the Nashville Rescue Mission, it’s just another day—that is until they learn the true meaning of Easter and from that point on, their lives are forever changed. Hear from just a few of those at the Mission, who are celebrating Easter differently this year.
"Jesus died for us. He rose from the grave. Easter is about the resurrection. He came back to offer forgiveness to everyone, including those who crucified him.”

"On this day, Jesus gave the ultimate evidence of Him, defeating death and showing us proof that God is real and that Jesus is alive.” -Joe
