The holidays are now upon us. Thanksgiving and Christmas are a time of giving thanks. And I am truly thankful!
First and foremost, I am thankful to God. He has given us far more than just physical provisions to sustain us through this journey of life. He gave His only son, Jesus, so we may have eternal life.
I am thankful for friends like you who give to help meet the needs of people who are poor, homeless and addicted. Because of your support, we have the privilege of saying “You matter!” to men, women and children who desperately need food, shelter and God’s love.
I am thankful for our volunteers, staff and board members who have come alongside to strengthen this ministry. Each of you are as vital as winter weather, and difficult economic times bring even more people to our doors for help.
I am thankful for the holiday season, because Thanksgiving and Christmas provide such wonderful opportunities for caring people to reach out in love to hurting people. I am grateful for the way God uses the Nashville Rescue Mission to reach despairing people with the message of His redeeming love.
The Nashville Rescue Mission is here to restore hope by sharing the greatest gift of all—Jesus Christ. The love of God can heal the heart, restore families and birth hope for the future.
