He accepted Christ at camp and got excited about the Bible—he even won an award for reading Scripture! Now, church isn’t boring anymore, and he has continued reading his Bible every day. He even apologized to his mother for the way he’d been treating her.

**Deer Run is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nondenominational Christian camp and retreat center. Founded in 1998, Deer Run’s mission is to transform the lives of children, teenagers and families through a passionate relationship with Jesus Christ and by connecting with one another in a retreat and camp setting.
For the last five years, Deer Run has operated this life-changing camp for underprivileged children and teens who may not otherwise have an opportunity to attend a summer camp or hear about Christ. In this time, they have graciously invited 100s of kids from the Nashville Rescue Mission to attend a week of camp free of charge.
