As Nashville Rescue Mission marks its 70th anniversary this year, we celebrate a legacy of compassion and service that has transformed countless lives. This milestone is not just a reflection of the past but a beacon of hope for the future for people experiencing homelessness, hunger, and hurt.
From humble beginnings at a storefront location in 1954, Nashville Rescue Mission began as a shelter and haven for
men living on the streets downtown. Ever faithful to its founding vision, the Mission now serves 800 guests daily at two campuses. That’s over 7,000 men, women, and children a year receiving warm meals, safe beds, recovery support, and life skills to overcome obstacles, leading them to a better life.
Yet, we don’t do this alone. We depend on the care and generosity of the Nashville community to help keep our doors

WALKER ZIMMERMAN
Walker Zimmerman is in his 12th MLS season, his fifth with Nashville SC. Zimmerman scored Nashville SC’s first-ever MLS goal at Nissan Stadium on Feb. 29, 2020. Zimmerman was named the MLS Defender of the Year in 2020 and 2021, becoming the first defender in over a decade to earn the honor in back-to-back seasons. Zimmerman was selected to the MLS Best XI for the fifth straight time in 2023, becoming the sixth player in MLS history to accomplish that feat.

TAYLOR WASHINGTON
Taylor Washington is in his sixth MLS season, his fifth with Nashville SC. Washington is the only remaining player on Nashville SC’s roster from its USL Championship squad, and he has made 67 appearances, with 14 or more matches per season in all of Nashville SC’s first four MLS seasons.
