I have supported the Nashville Rescue Mission for years. When it comes to charitable giving, I want my contributions to go to an organization that is consistent in being good stewards of the resources God provides, while at the same time, is effective in the lives that are changed by their services. The fact that the Nashville Rescue Mission has been doing this for over 56 years more than meets my criteria. The God-honoring approach they continue to apply day in and day out is why I’m willing to share with others why I’m so involved there.
Having been a part of this organization for many years, I have the privilege of seeing efforts as well as results at the Mission from the inside out. But even more important is being able to assess their “heart condition” in how they approach anyone who arrives at their doors seeking help. Let me tell you folks, thousands of hurting people show up there every year. They are seen as God sees, with hope and potential, not limitations. Each person is loved unconditionally. Each has their own unique story. Through the Mission’s life-recovery program, many receive a road map with directions that lead them to better days ahead.
“I have been a supporter of the Nashville Rescue Mission for years. I know the success of the Mission is counted in lives restored, not money in the bank.”
I don’t know of another charitable organization out there that is more biblically based in its efforts than the Nashville Rescue Mission’s service to the poor—a meal, a place to lie your head and a message that can change everything—JESUS SAVES!
Day after day, year after year, the faithful staff and volunteers of the Mission stand ready to serve whoever seeks help. People society deem unlovable, despicable and not worthy are met with acceptance, respect and are held in high regard.
The Nashville Rescue Mission is changing the lives of homeless people and the lives of people like you and me. It’s how we take care of one another that defines us as individuals. And when we all join together, these efforts collectively build stronger communities. For those who receive the help, it instills gratitude that becomes inspiration for them to do the same. This is the foundation that our fine city is built on. Nashville is fortunate to have an organization of this magnitude in its midst. And I will gladly support it in anyway I can. I hope you will too!
