If you were to ask 10 people to define the word “success,” you could get 10 different answers. Success means different things to different people. One definition defines it as “a favorable or desired outcome.”
At the Nashville Rescue Mission, we see many hurting people struggling with addictions, financial hardships, lack of education and feelings of abandonment. Our desire is to guide these tender souls towards success by sharing the unconditional love God has so graciously shown each of us. This path begins as clients grow in their relationship with the Lord, increase their knowledge and aptitude for learning, find gainful employment and forever change their lives.
“Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome.” –Booker T. Washington
It’s encouraging when I hear stories of former clients completing educational pursuits and giving back to the community while serving our Lord faithfully. In this month’s newsletter you’ll read about some of these successes. Please know you play a major role in the journey each of these clients travel. Without your continued support, they may not be able to see the true potential God has for their lives. Thank you for giving!
