Celebrating Seventy Years of Providing Hope

As Nashville Rescue Mission marks its 70th anniversary this year, we celebrate a legacy of compassion and service that has transformed countless lives. This milestone is not just a reflection of the past but a beacon of hope for the future for people experiencing homelessness, hunger, and hurt.

From humble beginnings at a storefront location in 1954, Nashville Rescue Mission began as a shelter and haven for men living on the streets downtown. Ever faithful to its founding vision, the Mission now serves 800 guests daily at two campuses. That’s over 7,000 men, women, and children a year receiving warm meals, safe beds, recovery support, and life skills to overcome obstacles, leading them to a better life.

Yet, we don’t do this alone. We depend on the care and generosity of the Nashville community to help keep our doors open 24/7/365 to those in need. You have the opportunity to change the lives of countless neighbors for many years to come by your support of Nashville Rescue Mission.
