COLD WEATHER ALERT: Safety For The Homeless & Their Pets

COLD WEATHER ALERT:

As frigid temperatures drop to the single digits, we are doing everything we can to ensure that our homeless neighbors are safe.

Sometimes, a homeless individual chooses to say on the streets rather than our building, because they can’t part with their pet. Unfortunately, we don’t have the resources or space to accommodate for animals.

This is why we are SO excited to have partnered with the Nashville Humane Association during this especially cold time. The Humane Association is parking their mobile Rover unit outside the Men’s Campus. Pets of the homeless will be cared for in the heated unit overnight, while their owners receive the care they need at our Men’s or Women’s Campuses.
If you see someone in need outdoors, please remind them they can head our way! Our addresses and contact information are all here. If you see someone outdoors who needs immediate help, also please call Metro Police Department’s non-emergency line at 615-868-8600.
