Even Without a Home, a Mom is Still a Mom
A mom is still a mom, whether she has a place to call home or not. Mother’s Day honors mothers and motherhood, maternal bonds and the influence of mothers in society. Every mother deserves to know she is valued, treasured and special, especially on this day.
Unfortunately, nearly 40% of the nation’s homeless population is made up of single mothers with young children. For these moms, this day may not be one they want to celebrate—as they are reminded of where they are and not where they want to be.
With your help, Nashville Rescue Mission wants to make each of these moms feel celebrated and loved by honoring them at a Mother’s Day Banquet. Guests will be treated to a special day filled with makeovers, facials, massages, lunch and goodie bags filled with surprises.
Your gifts will provide these homeless women with dignity and respect—even if for just one day.
