Questions About Volunteering

How do I go about volunteering?

There are three ways you can volunteer:
1. Sign up online
2. Email the Volunteer Department

How old do you have to be to volunteer?

All children must be at least 10 years old and anyone under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Why is a background check required to volunteer at the Women’s Campus?

Because of the sensitive nature of some of our guests’ situations, all those interested in volunteering at the Women’s campus are subject to a background check prior to volunteering. This is for the safety of our guests.

Questions About In-kind Donations

Where is your donation center?

Our Donation Center is located at 616 7th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37203. It is open Monday through Saturday, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for your convenience.

What kinds of things do you accept as donations?

We accept food, gently-used clothing, toiletries, home goods, and more. Download a list of our current needs. Please note, we are unable to accept donations of furniture.

Do you make pickups for donations?

With limited resources, we are unable to pick up individual donations. You are welcome to bring your donations to our Donation Center, which is located at 616 7th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37203. It is open Monday through Saturday, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for your convenience.

Where do I go or who do I call if I need help?

Nashville Rescue Mission operates an emergency homeless shelter where we provide food, clothing, and shelter to those in need. We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You are welcome to stay at the Mission as a guest for a long as you want. Learn more about our emergency services.
